    Hello and Welcome to Our DF Community!

    What a great way to get to know you all and hear how you are progressing in your fitness programs. I read the comments you post on the site and have appreciated your feedback and honesty. This community is an exciting new opportunity for us all to stay motivated. I am here to help, support, and answer questions, so jump on in!

    This is such a great idea! I was just thinking a few months ago how I wished I could have an easy way to check in with other fitness users and share advice/updates about progress, etc.

    I would LOVE to see more cardio kickbox classes from Joanne!!! =] They are my favorite, and also hi-lo with I think Valerie, will she be teaching any new classes? she makes me work like crazy!

    It would be really nice to have some way that DF users could compare workout records (from my fitness center etc.) with each other if they liked. I don't know how complicated that is, but the idea being that some of us might be really motivated by connecting with other online users. We could almost form teams or small groups for people trying to reach a certain goal (say workout time or completing one of the programs like the weightloss classes etc.). :-)

    Marisa - I love this idea too!  At this point the best option would be to copy and paste your fitness tracker into the community to share with someone else.  Or, possibly start a thread in the challenges section of the forum to have others join you in reaching for your goal.  There are upgrades to the software for the community coming down the road that may alow us more flexibility with sharing that kind of info between members.  We'll keep you posted about the options.

    I just joined a few weeks ago and I truly enjoy the workouts. My favorite so far is the Kettlebells (You do a great job Joanne!). I even sent a request to get more Kettlebell work outs...! Big Smile I was told that there is some in the works.  Yay! Anyway, My big question is trying to get fitter on a very limited time schedule. I would like to see how others manage it.

    When you reply, or post a new message, there is a bar at the top that allows you to edit your post a bit.  Click on the smiley face and a box will pop up with lots of options!  Smile  Very Fun!

    Hi everyone,

    DF is absolutely fantastic! Joanne Blackerby's and Valerie Hunt's classes are my favourite. I'm hoping there will be more classes by these excellent instructors. I'm usually picky about classes as I believe a good instructor has to give out lots of positive energy which makes you keep going even if you feel like you can't do anymore. Joanne and Valerie are absolutely great at this and are a big inspiration to me. Thank you!Smile

    I read about this site in WW Magazine and thought I would give it a try.  Boy, am I glad I found this site!!  I've been working out off and on but not consistantly. I have a tremendous amount of weight to lose but each time I restart my excersise routine it becomes even more daunting than the time before.  I am just thrilled from what I have found on the site.  I especially like how there are beginner programs all set up to help us on our way to a better lifestyle.  I am also finding that through out the day I am adding a 5 min. work out here, or a stretching work out there.  The possibilities are endless!!

    Thank you so much, I feel like I have a new lease on life!!

    We are glad you are here!  I totally agree with the 5 minute workout.  I'm the queen of squeezing it in when you can!
